This isn’t a definitive list, it’s a snapshot of what’s currently working for us. And with the pace of change in tech, we’re always curious:

What are you using that’s made a real difference to your team’s workflow?

Here’s a look at our current remote work tech stack:

1. Client & Data Management

  • Zoho One Suite:
    • Zoho CRM – Client tracking and deal pipelines
    • Zoho Forms – Data collection during onboarding and internal ops
    • Zoho Sheets – Internal trackers and budgets
    • Zoho Sign – Contracts and electronic signatures
    • Zoho WorkDrive – Secure file storage and folder sharing
    • Zoho Cliq – Account-specific internal communication

Why we like it: Everything lives in one ecosystem. It’s cost-effective, especially for South African teams, and helps streamline day-to-day CRM and admin work.

2. Documentation & Operational Planning

  • Notion – For tasks, SOPs, goal setting, meeting notes, client updates, and internal databases
  • Microsoft Word & Excel – For documentation, reports, and spreadsheets

Why we like it: Notion helps us centralise all planning and collaboration in one place. Word and Excel remain go-to tools for structured documentation and calculations.

3. Knowledge Sharing & Training

  • Loom – For screen recordings and walkthroughs
  • Fathom – For recording internal meetings and generating searchable summaries

Why we like it: Loom simplifies complex updates and training. Fathom helps us capture key insights from meetings without relying on memory or scattered notes.

4. Design & Marketing

  • Canva – For quick, brand-aligned design
  • Adobe Creative Suite – For professional creative and campaign work
  • LinkedIn – Our main platform for employer branding and outreach

Why we like it: Canva enables rapid design across the team. Adobe offers depth for more advanced projects. LinkedIn helps us tell our story and connect with global audiences.

5. Communication & Meetings

  • Microsoft Outlook – For internal and external email communication
  • Microsoft Teams – For online meetings and team collaboration
  • WhatsApp – For fast, informal team communication and updates

Why we like it: Outlook keeps communication professional and centralised. Teams structures our online discussions. WhatsApp adds the human touch to real-time team engagement.

6. Finance & Accounting

  • Xero – For cloud-based accounting, invoicing, and expense tracking

Why we like it: Xero is remote-friendly, easy to use, and integrates smoothly with our workflows.
